JESUS IN ECCLESIASTES – The WISDOM of GOD ✝️
But to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, CHRIST is the POWER of GOD and the WISDOM of God. – 1 Corinthians 1:24
King Solomon, the writer of Ecclesiastes, was blessed with wisdom. And although he had enjoyed everything “under the sun” and had everything a man could ever hope for, he recognized the hopelessness of it all. “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless”, he penned at the end of his life.
Ecclesiastes expresses our frustration of living in a fallen world. The Bible says that YESHUA JESUS is the WISDOM OF GOD who became one of us to share our common experience; a life of tears, exhaustion and heartache in a world corrupted by sin.
And yet, Jesus conquered all of it… through a wooden Cross on a lonely hill.
My Friend, I am hoping that by now, as we go through each book of the Old Testament, you are beginning to realize this profound truth: It is not just ancient history.
It is, in fact, HIS STORY.
Jesus said it Himself; “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures THAT TESTIFY ABOUT ME…” – John 5:39
We have learned so far that Jesus is the perfect Adam who was tempted in the wilderness, not the garden. He is the Ark of Noah. He is the offering of Isaac by his father Abraham on the Jerusalem mount. He is Joseph, who, at the right hand of the King, forgives those who betrayed Him and uses His power to save them. Jesus is Moses who stands as a mediator between humanity and Yahweh. He is the Lamb of the Passover! He is Joshua who leads us into a land of eternal life. Jesus is Job, the suffering servant. Jesus is King David, with a throne in the heavenly Jerusalem. He is Esther who not only risked His life as she did but GAVE HIS LIFE to save others. And the Bible goes on to say that Yahweh God loves YOU so much that HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, Jesus, for your sake.
Friend, we are reading nothing less than a profound love story, written in blood… on a wooden cross. Authored by a loving father who, arms outstretched, welcomes you back home. My friend, fall into His loving arms today. Take hold of Him now… and never let go.❤️
“Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me.” – Psalms 40:7
